The animal helps keep it at his mouth and at the right angle. It has been awesome the couple times we've driven since getting it.</p> <p>Also, it seems to give him something to do with his hands that helps comfort him...he has been holding the legs or the ears of his puppy while sucking the paci. He would rub the stuffed animal part in his face to soothe himself.
