Every time! Not worth the fire risk to me. Some loads have barely any, others seem to have a ton. So I pull it out just in case.

@Sophia: LOL yes! Me too!

I actually just stopped using fabric softener and dryer sheets, and now I'm getting SOOO much less lint. I guess it's a good thing, but still....lol

Yep! We are linty ppl. It's in the bathroom & the dryer makes the bathroom super dusty and I think if I didn't empty it each time it would be worse! And the clothes would take longer to dry (or that's just in my head!) and of course fires.

@MrsCB: we have a ton of lint too. haha.

we have an ancient dryer, and the lint trap is one of those ones that goes deep into the back of the dryer. so i have no way of getting in there to clean it aside from the screen itself!

Always! My husband is a firefighter and you would be surprised at the number of dryer fires he goes to every year. I'd rather take the extra few seconds than have my house burn down. We clean out the vent and everything yearly. We should do it more often though...

Every time. I guess we create a lot of lint, because there's always a significant amount there. And if I'm going to check it, might as well just throw it away while I'm at it.

I do every time! I have this fear of the dryer catching on fire. I think I have this because of my mom. She always used to tell me how dangerous dyers are because her friend's house caught on fire and it originated with the dryer. I am sure it had nothing to do with the lint trap, but now that's all I think about!

Edit: Reading all of these other posts, maybe it did have to do with the lint trap!
