When DS2 came along and I was on leave, we started eating as a family and really loved it. I eat with DS, though, and usually my mom eats with us, unless DD has just fallen asleep with her and then we take turns eating. DH works late fairly often, so he eats closer to when DS is going to bed those nights. Dinner is between 5:30 and 6:00 and we eat when it's ready, whether he's home or not. We usually eat at 6. If DH is going to be late then I feed the kids earlier, like 5:30 and we put them to bed early and eat after they go down. That happens on average 1-2x a week.
