It never occurred to me to put one on and didn't know what the big deal was. But being an Asian mom, she wanted her granddaughter to be extra warm and didn't want the fabric of her clothes to irritate her skin. After a few naggings from mom, I finally caved in and put one on. Now I ALWAYS put on an onsie or kimono tee underneath, mainly to keep her warm.
