Always. I just think its a nice gesture and want to be sure people really know how much I appreciate their thoughtfulness. I think a handwritten card shows someone that they're worth it to spend a little time showing your appreciation.

I always try to send thoughtful and personalized thank you's for gifts. Although immediately after my LO was born the gifts poured in and it was soooo overwhelming. It felt like every time I saw anyone there was a new gift or even a gift from someone I didn't even know! (Mothers coworkers etc,) I feel a little bad but i didn't write a single thank you post baby. I was just so overwhelmed being a new mom and of course not sleeping I didn't have the time or emotional energy. If people poo pooed about that then who cares to them. At the time i could have just done without the ten billionth crocheted blanket or sweater.

I love writing notes but feel like time escapes me, so I try to send a timely thank you - email, text, phone call - and get cards out in the mail if possible.
The thread actually reminded me to write out the thank yous for DS's birthday. I ordered photo cards. I do that a lot and write little messages on them, I don't feel pressured to write a novel when there's a cute picture ;)

@chopsuey119: you know what's amazing? Sincerely Ink app! I use it all the time. I'll take a photo of DS with the gift, type a little thank you and you can send directly from the app. No need to handwrite, stamp or mail. They have really cute templates.

@chopsuey119: I wish I was better. I sent one for all the wedding/shower etc but I'm not great when we get random little things from people.

I'm a nerd and LOVE writing notes, still a snail mail fan. So yes, I always send a thank you card.

I always send thank you notes. If someone can take the time to shop and post a gift, I can spend two minutes acknowledging their gift. It's a pain sometimes but I always do it.

I always send a card. So much that a family friend told me not to send her a card once.

I send thank you cards as much as possible. I'll admit, I have skipped it a few times, but I think a thank you card can go a long way! An email would be ok too, expressing thanks in any way is always nice :)

I really don't like sending them out.
Sometimes I'll just send a text, call or send an email thanking someone for something ;)

For weddings and showers I'll send them out though..

Dh's aunt sent DS an outfit and I'm debating whether I should email her or send a Ty card.. I don't have any cards at home so I'm leaning more towards the email :p
