I first realized we had different tastes after he first moved in with me and I had to buy a new rug. I almost just bought it without consulting him, then it dawned on me that he might want to have a say and I found out not only did he care way more than I thought he would, he didn't like what I had picked out!</p> <p>Since then we have been easily able to mesh our tastes together and we've completely refurnished our home so now it's really 'our taste'. Including another very scary thing, I life sized cardboard football player. So I'd walk into the room and the lights would be off, and I'd see the shadow of a huge man. Freaked me out every time! The problem with that for us is that we went to rival schools, so I'm not ok with the team I hate anywhere in my house- other than house divided things. Now it's all boxed up or donated. I'm also not a huge blue fan. Luckily DH is colorblind so I got to pick all the paint colors here. When I first used DH's bathroom in his townhouse, I almost had a heart attack. So I sit down to pee, look up, and see Kramer looking at me. Kramer is now in his cubicle at work.</p> <p>The rest of the house was pretty bare. He had some boy pictures, like a light up pool table picture, and he did have some things I like, photos of sunsets that he took.</p> <p>I love all things antique and vintage, so I reframed the sunset photos in older frames instead of the modern black frames he had them in. And I've slowly been changing our furniture into antiques. He doesn't really care what I do, as long as it's not too girly. </p>
