Between Eric moving back here after several years away, and me moving here from somewhere totally different, we have found ourselves completely out of the tight-knit social groups that exist around here. Most of our friends live other places and we almost never get to see them. Out of those friends, most are a "good match" for both of us. Couple friends are a bit more tricky, we have some where we have the same close friendship with each half of the couple, but in a lot of cases there's one half of the couple who we're closer to (both of us closer to the same person). Our bridal party was so much fun because all his groomsmen and all my bridesmaids were already friends too. We all met in college, and hung out together 24/7... this eventually led to us all getting paired off and married. I had a core.group of very.close girlfriends, 6 of us. 4 of us had kids within 6 months of each other last year. The husband's all get along but there's only one couple that we all REALLY love one another. We are the godparents to their kids/vice versa. We are moving within 2 blocks.of them soon! The wife was a bridesmaid, hub a Groomsman and their first son was one of our ring bearers. That is mostly because, he sees his friends outside the home: football games, BBQs, work...<br /> My friends come over our house and/or we go over to theirs.<br /> But, the friends of his that I do see regulary, I do like. Some of them, I like from afar. Some of them , I dislike from afar. I dislike them, not because they are bad people (DH's friends are all good people) but because I just don't click with them or their way of life.<br /> He does like all my friends.
