Mostly because I remember being a kid and having to wait forever for the stuff to be ready to play with it. But I come from a family that never wrapped gifts from "Santa" and apparently not everyone does that (based on an old HB thread). I told DH I would like to this year though. We got LO a pretend washer and dryer and I'm sure it's a pain to put together so I would rather do it over the span of a few nights then just set it out on Christmas morning. That way they aren't itching to play with it while we are trying to put it together, since these things usually involve frustration ;) </p> <p>Do you assemble your LO's birthday/Christmas gifts before you give them to them? Pros and cons to doing it this way? </p>
