We don't have a tub but we used to use a PUJ then a little inflatable tub. Still, we've always showered too. For those who are afraid of the soapy baby situation, I heard someone recommend wearing a tshirt while showering to make things less slippery. Now that my kid is nearing 2 that's not really an issue for us. He plays around with stuff while I get my showering done. When she got to be a couple months old I would take her in the shower with me, clean her up, hand her off to DH to dress her, and then clean myself up. By the time I got out she was ready to be fed and put to bed. On nights when DH isn't home, DD, DS, and I all get in together. It's just easier that way!</p> <p>The kids love having us take baths with them, and it's nice quality time to just relax and play in the tub, so it works for us. Probably once DS is able to get into the big tub on his own (9 months, maybe?) we'll just start putting the kids into the tub together. It is too dangerous in my opinion to soap them up while showering etc. They get very slippery and I wouldn't want to be responsible for dropping her and hurting her.
