@Honeybee: I can imagine. I was mentally crossing my fingers as I typed my last response. I am not looking forward to the sibling squabbles. :-P

@Koolbreeze: Interesting, I could see that working really well!

@Andrea: we had one of these
http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0056XFXHG
I'd lay DS2 on that in the back of the tub and DS1 in the front. DS1 was very good about being easy and DS2 loved just laying in the water and started kicking and splashing as soon as he could. :P we also live in a small house and I just didn't have the space for a baby tub(which I don't like anyways) so it was perfect!

Until I felt DD could sit up in the bathtub unsupported, I would stick the baby bathtub in the regular tub so the LO's could "bathe" together. DS got a kIck out of helping bathe the baby and I loved the convenience of getting them both done at once.

@Andrea: lol, half playing nicely with each other, half me repeatedly saying "Please stop hitting your brother with that snail." :) but they enjoy it, and it's much easier than two separate baths!

As soon as DS could take real baths, I would bathe him in the baby bathtub on the bathroom floor while DD played in the big bathtub. Once he got old enough that I felt he could sit on his own in the tub (around 8/9 months) I started bathing the kids together every night. They love playing together in the tub, although DD tried "washing" (aka drowning) her brother a few times in the beginning, so it takes a lot of supervision. :) it's much more convenient for me to bathe them together, though, now that DS is so big and into everything.

@Koolbreeze: How do you support the baby in the tub? Do you all get in together?

We've bathed the boys together since DS2 was just a couple months old. They love playing in the water together.

I usually bathe the baby during the day since I'm at home with her and we have the time. So she doesn't have a bath as part of her bedtime routine, but it doesn't seem to matter to her. She LOVES her bath so it's our relaxing alone time. Bath time with my toddler is so noisy and sometimes crazy! But sometimes I have my toddler play in the bath tub while I bathe the baby outside in the baby tub. It's good to mix it up.
