I don't think DH believes in ghost though. When I was small there was a little boy ghost that inhabited our house. He used to scare me. To this day I can't sleep without the closet closed. Also my grandmothers is haunted by my moms uncle who died suddenly. About a month after we lived there, we'd wake up in the mornings to all of the drawers and cabinets open in the kitchen. Nothing would be moved, but they would all be wide open.</p> <p>A few weeks after this started, my roommate Kelly and her friend Tara stopped by the house to let the dog out. Kelly went outside with the dog while Tara used the restroom. When Tara came out, she saw Kelly walking into her room. Tara called to her, but Kelly just slammed the door in her face. Tara opened the door and followed her, but Kelly kept walking and slammed the door leading to the hallway. Tara was mad at this point and said "what the hell, Kelly, why do you keep slamming doors in my face?!" When I was little we lived in a house where a woman who had been eight months pregnant had a seizure in the master bath and drowned. I never knew that part until I was older, but me and my whole family would see a black shadow figure swaying by the door to that bathroom at night. I was scared to go upstairs even during the day, and slept in my parents' room because I was too frightened to be by myself in the dark. I called it the Banjo Ghost. Anyway, my parents had the house blessed (I was raised Catholic), but it continued. Finally we sold the house. The people who bought it were total creep-os. They wanted it because of the ghost, basically. They painted all the trim black... We were sitting on the couch chatting and the TV turned on to a sermon. I thought I sat on the remote or something but it was clearly on the table. She said, "oh thank god you're here. Adam (her SO) doesn't believe me" um what? She goes on to tell me no matter where she is, this happens all the time. Sometimes, she says, she feels someone brushing her forehead while she sleeps and no one's there.<br /> Her father passed shortly before she was pregnant. Random objects would fly off my bookshelf or start shaking. I almost got hit by a book once. You would hear heavy breathing in my sister's room. My mom and I opened a kitchen cabinet one morning while cooking and had a black shadowy figure fly around us and disappear through a wall. We both saw it exactly the same, too. My step dad watched a figure walk out of their closet and into the bathroom with my mom. I started talking in my sleep regularly and my parents both swore they would hear a male voice reply often. </p> <p>At the house they live in now, and after I moved out, they had another craaazy experience, totally unrelated. My grandmother had sold her house, and for a few weeks while she got settled into her new house, she stayed with my parents and slept in my twin brothers' room. </p> <p>After she moved out and the boys moved back in, my parents started noticing one of them wasn't sleeping well. They were only about 7 years old at the time and my mom finally got him to open up and tell her what was going in. He told her that there was a man in his room and he wouldn't ever stop talking. It freaked him out at first, but then he just couldn't sleep because the guy would keep him awake. </p> <p>After weeks of this, he suddenly told them that the man's name was Jerry. My mom immediately knew what was going on. She walked in their room, started searching, and found my great uncle Jerry's ashes in the back of the closet. He had killed himself when I was really little and my grandma (his sister) always had his ashes with her. She must have forgotten them when she moved out, though. I was in Charleston, SC once and went to a haunted jail with a friend. We thought touristy-trap, but I am really into historical things, so I thought it would be interesting at least on the history side anyway. We went through the tour about dusk, and snapped photos during the tour. On the way out, (by this point it was dark outside) and pitch black inside the area we were at, I took a photo of a staircase because the iron on the stairs had come from England and was really neat looking. I get back in the car after the tour and look through my pics and there was a craaaazy light, almost like an apparition on the left side of the pic. My camera had NEVER malfunctioned or done anything bizarre, so I couldn't chalk it up to the camera, and it was totally dark and completely unexplainable.
