Bad things happen to good people all the time and vice versa. But I do believe that if you do questionable things, especially with money, it's really bad karma. For example, I almost accidentally stole Tums from Target a few days ago. It was a total accident, but I did notice before I left the store and after a moment's debate I went and paid for them. I couldn't just walk out of the store with them even though I would have gotten away with it. I feel that we're very blessed in our life, but we did go through a lot to get here. We have two beautiful boys to show for all of our hard work, and I feel like teaching them to be generous and kind is important because even if it's not happening when they can see it, they'll be fortunate at some point in their life.
