If DH or I had married someone else, would we have felt like we were missing out on something? Probably not. We would have likely been happy and had good lives. But, I think that we are specially suited and matched in our personalities, life desires, and the plans God has for us. I felt and continue to feel quite confident, after much prayer on the subject, that he was the right man for me. I think there are multiple people who make better partners to other people because some people just “fit” better together than others do. I also don't think it's only limited to a lifelong partner, it can be a friend, a child, a relative - anyone you have a connection with. BUT, that doesn't mean building a relationship with them is automatic, it takes work like every other relationship, it's just a little easier since you "get" each other.
