He was only 6 weeks old so I brought him along. My friend who the shower was for brought her 5 week old, so it was super fun seeing them together! It was a close friend, it was a 2 hour drive ( so a 6 hour event) and we were breastfeeding. She'd started solids but 6 hours would have been way too long not to nurse and I don't pump. LO is 15 months and still nurses 6 or 7 times a day so it would honestly still be tough for me to leave her home, but I would for up to 4 hours. If it was going to be longer than that and it wasn't a best friend that I know would love to have LO there, I'd just send my regrets. I'm the youngest out of my cousins and extended family, so everyone had already started bringing their kids to everything - I will definitely bring my child along. I just went to one last weekend and was conflicted about asking because DH had to work. I did ask and the host was completely fine with it. There were a ton of kids there! Infants to school age. :)</p> <p>ETA: LO is 2 and was completely non stop the whole time! She was on her best behavior the whole time but I barely got to sit down and it was very tiring for this preggo. I would of course ask the hostess first anyway, but I feel like if you ask they could feel obliged to say yes. C will be 11 months old already so I may just leave her with Dh. </p> <p>What do you usually do in these cases? Fr my baby shower I wanted people to bring babies but I know not everyone feels that way. </p>
