It's been stable for a while now, but my doctor is very conservative so she's keen on lots of testing during the first trimester. Hopefully I won't have to do it every 2 weeks through the whole pregnancy! That's interesting about fluctuations after birth. And if they have to try multiple times (I have small veins) then the bruising is super bad. </p> <p>@JerricaBenton: I have graves disease (was very hyperthyroid and had my thyroid ablated with radioactive iodine twice so now I'm hypothyroid) but I only had to get my thyroid checked maybe 3-4 times total during my pregnancy. That's crazy you have to get it done once every two weeks..so sorry! To avoid bruises, apply pressure after they pull the needle out. Try to apply for at least 5 minutes. I only bruise when the phlebotomist does a bad job. I can always tell the second the needle goes in.
