@BabyBoecksMom: He likes biting it but doesn't like me using it on him.

@prettylizy: 2 of the pediatricians we talked to said it is OK to just wipe his teeth with a damp cloth... so as long as you have a wash cloth you can use to wipe her tooth it is OK! Those infant toothbrush is cheap though so it doesn't hurt to get her one to just bite on ;)

@lemondrop: We are lucky that no matter how screwy the bedtime routine is, LO still falls asleep pretty easily. I just personally don't like to upset him before bedtime though...

We just do it at some point in the day, right now a solid bedtime is more important to us.

She only has 1 tooth right now so I haven't thought much about it. I guess we need to invest in a toothbrush?

@irene: How does your LO like it? DD holds onto and chews all over the bristles, drooling like crazy! She'll take it all over the house with her, too. LOL

@autumnlove: I have so many baby toothbrushes I can give you some of mine. We even have a dentist friend and she gave me baby training brushes, in which LO hates all of them (while my dentist friend was able to floss her baby's teeth. Can you imagine?!). Sigh.

@Sweet T: Thanks for the tip!

@BabyBoecksMom: I have that banana toothbrush too! That's good that your baby is building up the tolerance. Mine just hates us doing anything around his mouth, or on his face really.

We let her chew on this and she ends up cleaning her teeth herself (or well enough for now). I'll move it around across her teeth as she's holding it, but I stop if she gets upset. We're gradually getting to a tolerance of her letting us mess with her mouth.

We brush before bed. He has a sippy cup of milk with dinner and then we do bath time and his bed time routine. You could try giving your LO a toothbrush to hold himself. It helped keep DS distracted when we started brushing his teeth.

A friend of mine told me I should brush / clean my LO's teeth (he's 10 months) after the bedtime bottle. However he hates his teeth being brushed and would cry hysterically every time I do it. Our bedtime routine now has become quite unenjoyable because of that.

How about you all?
