I don't really measure. Sometimes I use 50/50, sometimes less, sometimes more. The more vinegar I add, the more drops of essential oil I add to balance. I really like it because you really can't go wrong. You don't even have to add the vinegar in at all. I now make my own air freshener. I mix white vinegar with distilled water and about ten to twenty drops of essential oil depending on how much I'm making and where I'm using it. If I'm making it for the bathroom (where we have litter boxes), I use more vinegar than water. The vinegar really cuts through heavy smells but the essential oil makes it so you don't have that vinegary smell. The only word of caution is that you should be careful spraying near wood furniture as the essential oil *could* stain it. Before LO arrived, I would burn scented candles but I recently read something about some scented candles being unsafe due to chemicals (I think because of paraffin?). I always burn soy candles anyway, but am wondering if these are okay to use, or if it's better to refrain altogether. Thoughts? Do any of you burn scented candles even with a LO in the house? </p>
