One of his cousins is having a 2nd (opposite gender) and the Mom is inviting 100 people to her shower! I was absolutely flabbergasted when I heard that. It wasn't a shower, but I gave my friend a much smaller gift for her newborn vs her first born. For her first, I helped throw her a shower and I think I got her a crib?! For her latest little man, I got her pack of clothes and baby toiletries (when I was in town). It's her 4th son, so I figured she still has quite a few things. Kind of like a scaled down shower, and most of the gifts were smaller items like clothing or diapers. But I'd always thought that baby showers were a first baby thing.
