@abbylyn: I'm kicking myself for not buying used shoes when they had a swap meet in town a few weeks ago. But I found some cheap Crocs online, so I might just go with that.

I buy the right size. If she had fat feet I would go a size up, but her feet are very narrow. Shoes that are a little big just fall off or give her blisters.

If you want a pair or two that fits now, instead of waiting to be grown into, you could try a thrift or secondhand store? I can't see spending full price on something they'll outgrow in three months, but I'd definitely buy something cheaper to have it fit now.

@regberadaisy: It's a local store. We usually get him Tsukihoshi and they hold up really well, plus are machine washable and have a green tea footbed that is supposed to cut back on odor.

@Crumbs: yup, I bought big too. I made sure with socks on I can pinch the front. If that makes sense? So it was about one size bigger. I think she outgrew it in under 3 months! :(

@artbee: Same thing here! I feel like DS's feet grow much more slowly than I anticipated, so he has been getting like 6 months of wear out of shoes since he started wearing them.

I get DS fitted each time.

I'm not sure if they give a half size up or something, but they always say they should last ~3 months and if we don't get our 3 months out of them we can return them to the store and apply the credit towards another pair, even if they are banged up. They even give us the old shoes back!

@regberadaisy: How about your LO's first pair? Did she grow into them as well? My DD's first pair is big and so she doesn't have a shoe that fits her.

Do you buy shoes that fit just right on your toddler or do you go half a size/1 size up?

All DD's hard soled shoes are slightly big and I feel like I should get her ones that fit her just right. Realistically, they'd probably not last very long, but she's walking so much now that I want her to be comfy. DH thinks the ones she has are just fine. What do you all do?
