If it's a winter jacket that I'm about to spend a lot on, I'll size up and just roll the sleeves up until it fits properly. But, if it's t-shirts or pants, I usually buy their correct sizes. I do prefer them to have well fitted clothing, though. It is summer for 6 months and winter for 6 months so that has no effect. We are getting our second summer out of 9-12 month clothes and I suspect we will get a second winter out if 12-18 months. I find pants to be the most difficult thing to get to fit correctly, but I've found with a combo of adjustable waist pants and a "belt" we can go a bit bigger and have the pants last the winter.<br /> My son also wears a full size bigger on the bottom than the top, so I don't buy ahead any more. I find George &amp; gymboree to fit SUPER big, so I can get away with 3-6months.
