DH and I can a lot. We have a vegetable garden in our yard and try to can as much as we can from that plus we sharecrop with some friends and can from that. We've canned jams and jellies, pickles, spaghetti sauce, salsa, pesto, soups, and pork loin (probably the most unusual for me).

We've canned pickled vegetables and tried pickles and hope to do more once life settles down a bit more!
We also make our own beef jerky.

We can and love it. I'd say 75% of the produce we eat is
home grown and canned for the winter months. It's definitely tough at 8months pregnant though...

Mrs tricycle's post today got me thinking: do any of you can?

I do- I LOVE it.

I have canned peaches, tomatoes, applesauce, raspberry jam, peach jam, jalapeño jam, basil and pepper jam (so good on turkey sandwiches that I can't eat now that I'm pregnant...) and attempted pickled peppers and salsa verde but I didn't like how they turned out.

This spring I made chive blossom vinegar.

And once I made fruit leather from our raspberries. SO GOOD!

Have you ever canned anything?
