For us that was 7 years ago.</p> <p>Our tradition is to go down to the fish market and have a fresh seafood feast. This year we had to alter it a bit since I'm pregnant and cant' eat raw seafood but it was still a lovely time. Now we just acknowledge it and maybe make a special dinner at home. When we lived in Chicago, we would actually go out for deep dish pizza every month on the 27th (our date-a-versary is May 27). It was a silly little tradition, but it was fun and yummy!</p> <p>I just realized that a cute new tradition would be to have Italian ices on the anniversary of the day that we met. We met during a riot in Philadelphia (we weren't part of it, it just broke out around us!) But the rumor always was that it started because of Rita's running out of ices on free ice day. I love thinking back to our first date. It's such a special memory for me. I love when we can celebrate at the actual location it took place at, but we no longer live in Los Angeles where we met.</p> <p>My mom is going to be in town this week, so she can stay home with our son, and I think we'll try and go out for a bite to eat to celebrate. My nausea keeps me from eating too adventurously, and I'd LOVE a nice glass of wine to toast :P But I'll settle for a yummy glass of watermelon agua fresca at a favorite mexican restaurant.</p> <p>Do you celebrate your first date with your husband? </p>
