DD still comes into bed now and again (she is 3.5, we try lie in her bed till she falls asleep if she wakes up, but sometimes it is easier to have her come in). When she was younger she used to start her night off in her crib then come into bed with us once I was too tired to do the whole up and down thing.

DS is nine months and I get him to sleep in my bed then transfer him to the crib for the first half of the night. He seems to sense at about 11pm every night that mama will be going to bed soon and then will only sleep in my bed. DH sleeps in the spare room at the moment because he is too worried about rolling onto him. Not ideal but it's a hard habit to break.

Recently, yes, at 7 months. They have waking up MOTN and hard for them to get back to sleep. Luckily, it's just one of them and it's not a daily occurance.

Yes. I have my 1yr old and my 2yr old in bed with me. So I can nurse them and also I'm a paranoid crazy mom who doesn't want her kids kidnapped or dying or anything like that.

Co-sleeping was our path of least resistance from when our son was a newborn & it stuck. It's had its ups and downs, but I think so does crib sleeping? On the one hand we never had to sleep train, but on the other we were constantly being touched/poked/prodded by a tiny person. He would go to bed initially in his crib (and later, his floor bed) and then come into bed with us after his first wake-up.
When he was 3 & I was largely pregnant, we couldn't all fit in the bed and I knew he needed to be out before baby came. So we went heavy on the treasure box. My husband co-slept in my son's bed for a while, but now he can do 90% of nights on his own with no one there. Little sister is 4 months and we're on roughly the same track, although she sleeps better/longer so far than her brother.

My oldest still joins us every once in a while.
My middle isn't into it and won't sleep with me.
My youngest is in her cosleeper now but was in bed with me until a month ago.

All three started in our bed and moved on their own around 12 weeks. Into their own rooms around five months.

@snowjewelz: We started with naps. Once we had naps down in the crib we worked on over night. Most nights DH and I have our bed to ourselves but sometimes not. They started sleeping in their own beds most often around 15/16 months.

We coslept by accident for almost the whole first year of DDs life. Since I was breastfeeding, it was just so much easier to let her fall asleep with us and we all got much more sleep. We started letting her nap in her swing and then transitioned to the crib, and added in nights. Now she naps and sleeps wayyyyyy better in her bed than ours (but if DH has to work late, she will sometimes fall asleep in our bed watching a movie).

I plan to cosleep with #2 until he/she can sleep through the night and then attempt to have them share a room.

Yes, with both kids (at different times). My first screamed bloody murder and refused to sleep whenever we tried to put him down, and after a night of trying to doze in a recliner holding him we decided he could just sleep with us. He co-slept full time for 6 months, and then we had an easy transition to his crib.

DD sleeps a lot better on her own than DS did. She usually starts the night out in the RnP, and when she wakes up at 1-2ish I bring her to bed, and she stays there. I think she would go back to sleep after I nursed her, but I'm just too tired to stay awake through that. I can just bring her to bed, make sure she's latched and go back to sleep. I really love it with her because I don't see her much during the day, and in the evenings DS is much more demanding of my attention. We're both mostly asleep at night, but I like being able to be physically close to her then. And I love waking up at 5:30 to nurse and she's just nestled into me, all soft and warm, and I imagine how lovely that must be for her, to barely wake up in my arms, surrounded by my smell. Sigh.

Yep.

LO is 4 and he usually goes to bed with me. I work traditional out of the house 8-4:30 in an office. DH works evenings and weekends. Since J is a night owl, he stays up while I clean up after dinner and then we both go to bed around 9:30/10pm, before DH gets home. (DH does morning and preschool drop-off.)

In the middle of the night, if my 3yo comes in, I just pick her up and put her in the middle of our bed. I'm way too tired to do anything else!

Then LO #2 came along... LO#1 co-sleeps with us... at 4 years old. Since he doesn't like being in the same room with LO#1 because we were trying to sleep train LO#1 unsuccessfully! *shakes fist*

Yes! What started as desperation during the newborn days just kept working so we stuck with it! DD is 17 months, and I made some modifications to our bed so its' her, me and DH but she won't fall off the side. I put her to sleep first and we go in later; 99% of the time she has no idea. She doesn't really like touching us so we actually keep our distance haha. It's just sometimes she leaves me no room; but I'm usually tired enough to just pass out however. I love being greeted in the morning  Just kinda sucks when it's 5am!

Yes, DD is almost 3. She goes to bed on her own just fine, but comes in with us at about 3 am. We've tried weaning her in the past, but always regress. I don't mind for now, but it is going to be tough if/when we have another LO.

Does anyone here co-sleep? What does co-sleeping look like for you? How old are your kids and which ones co-sleep with you?

When I was away on a work trip, my husband started letting our daughter fall asleep in our bed and then let her sleep there all night. I've been slowly weaning her off of this (my God, this is so, so hard) but she still comes into our bed around 2am every morning. Goodbye thoughts of morning nookie....Sigh.
