DD is tall and slim (75% for height and under 20% for weight) and I get a lot of comments on how small she is, followed by "what do you feed her? you should give her x, y, and z!". It gets me on the defense because I feel like I'm being judged for starving her when in fact I think I feed her a very well rounded diet, but I usually just smile and make a comment that she's just like her father. Last week I was at my lactation support group and there was a mama there with an adorable 3 week old. I smiled and said something like, oh, he's so little! then went and sat down ...... only to find out she's super stressed because he's not gaining weight, has super bad reflux, etc. I felt so bad! I just meant that he looked like a newborn, but she probably thought I was commenting on his weight.
