I wish I was a laid back parent, but I tend to worry about everything. DH is a very laid back parent, so we kind of balance each other out.

I'm quite laid back but at the same time I am not going to do things ( or not do them) that have been shown to be a risk to LO's safety. Bumps and scrapes are going to happen though.

@blushink: Man. I thought I was going to have a heartattack when my LO fell forward and the inside of her mouth was filled with blood... shaved a few minutes off my life for sure :T

I'll be honest when Mavrick falls down the stairs (2) (tripped) or smashes his lip and it bleeds, i instantly freak inside... but i mean it's bound to happy. Scraps and tears. inevitable! especially with a running toddler.

I used to stress out about everything when he was an infant. But now I'm not as bad. It's hard to stress out about everything little thing with an active toddler in the house. But generally, I tend to live in the "you never know" moments so overall I wouldn't say I'm totally laid back. Especially when it comes to health-related things.

I think I am laid-back, I think we have to let kids, even while they're young, make mistakes to learn. I can't shield him from everything..

I never had the new-mom anxiety that so many people had, I only cried maybe 1-2 times the first few weeks? The first time was because I forgot to change his diaper for four hours and he had a rash and I felt sooo guilty. Then once when he wouldn't latch on to eat.

But so far I've been pretty laid back, I break a lot of the "rules" of parenting, I was reading a book saying you shouldn't nurse your baby to sleep - yeah, I do that all the time. Or you shouldn't hold your baby during nap times but instead lay them down, I hold him all the time.

Hopefully I stay laid back, I am a worryer by nature so I don't want to freak out about stupid stuff.

I'm very laid back about some things and not so much about other things. Overall people tend to comment about how relaxed we have stayed while being parents. But I do worry about her when I'm away from her (like even when she's sleeping) so I think I'm less laid back in that regard.

Totally laid back. We have done minimal child proofing (which he can get through). The only thing we stress about is food and gaining weight. He gets all sorts of freedoms that our friends kids don't get.

All my life, I've been a pretty laid-back kind of gal and stress rarely gets to me. When I got pregnant with my son, same thing. I was very laid-back and didn't over analyze or stress about stuff.

I think I'm pretty much the same as a parent and it shows in my sons character. I don't stress about over sanitizing, over cleaning, over sterilizing amongst other things. For example, I had a bumper in the crib, he slept with covers (when he was about 8 months old) and I barely "child proofed" the house.

Do you consider yourself a laid-back parent or do you worry about every little thing.
