@Mrs. Sketchbook: tonight was watchoogot pasta (what ever vegetables we have in the fridge, mixed with a jar of my homemade tomato sauce over whatever pasta is in the pantry). If you're looking for fun and easy, Breakfast for dinner is always a good standby. I also batch cook baked beans and freeze them, I'll pull out some beans from the freezer and fry up some sausage for bangers and beans.

@Mrs. Sketchbook: My MIL does beer and nachos on Friday. It's really easy since she just does cheese and jalapeños on top.

I don't always cook on Fridays. Tonight we're having leftovers. I'm going to eat salad and my DH will either have pizza or sloppy joes.

We used to always go out on Fridays and Saturdays. I cook 3 meals a day every other day so I felt entitled to a few nights out! Lately we eat at home on Fridays though, because we're tired lol. I make something easy and fun if I cook on a Friday - pizza with fun toppings or calzones, tacos, BLTs and sweet potato fries, grilled cheese and tomato soup etc.

We go out Fridays. First Fridays are food trucks, third Fridays are festival downtown with arts and crafts and live music. Tonight was a doggy date night.

There's always something going on, a good reason to go out!

What about making Friday pizza night? Buy premade refrigerated dough from the grocery store, we get it from the bakery. You just have to roll it out, spread toppings on, and bake.

@prettylizy: what sort of things do you make? I need to figure out some recipess that seem uncomplicated, mess-free, and kinda fun....maybe pizza night? Of course toppings and the pre made crusts are so expensive...might as well go out!

I cooked tonight, and most Fridays. I sometimes try to convince DH to go out, but he prefers to stay in.

I love to cook, but I look forward to a break on Friday nights. We used to go out for dinner every Friday, but with Scribble's new schedule/trying to save money we are staying in more often. How can I make staying in feel more causal and like less work than a regular dinner? Sometimes it feels like going out to dinner on Friday was my only respite in the week!
