I do. I didn't at all with my first, but she slept really well. The baby is a brutal sleeper and will just twitch around all morning. Plus it's been a really cold spring her. She usually comes to bed with us after the early morning feed.

I co-slept with my eldest when she was breast feeding. Usually from 5:30-7:30ish, if my memory serves me properly.

I used to when LO was little! Same as you - she'd wake up at around 5:30am and I'd just grab her and lay her on my chest still swaddled and she'd sleep cozily until 7-7:30! But one time her little swaddled body literally rolled off of me and onto the bed! LOL.

I will usually put her downstairs in her swing after her 6-7am feeding and we'll go back to sleep, her in the swing and me beside her on the couch. Only way I get an extra couple hours in the morning.

Yup, she has been waking up at 5am to nurse. I usually nurse her in cradle with a boppy and she falls asleep in my arm. Our day starts at 630am. If I let her sleep in my arms she'll sleep if not she'll be up and ready. Sometimes if she's up earlier than 5 and I don't fall asleep nursing I'll put her back in the crib. Sometimes she'll sleep till 7 sometimes not. It's a crapshoot really.

Oh yes, my favorite time of the day! If he would let me stay there snuggled with him all day, I would! Sometimes it is in the recliner, sometimes it is in bed, but I love it.

Last night I know he got me up in the middle of the night to feed, I have no idea how long we passed out in the recliner for when I woke up and put him back to bed.

Yep! Guilty. I always was adamantly against co-sleeping for my baby, but now I totally see the value since it extends my morning sleep. DD usually wakes up to feed around 4:30/5 AM, and then she'll wake up again at 6-something, not b/c she's hungry, but b/c it's light out. I've found that if I then bring her in bed with me, she'll sleep soundly until as late as 9 AM... so yes, we definitely co-sleep in the mornings!

If he wakes up at 6 I bring him to bed with me so I can try and get another hour or so of sleep. We finally mastered the side lying feeding. If he wakes up before that we stay in his room to nurse and he goes back in his crib.

I try to keep him out until at least 6am, since that hopefully means I can get some extra sleep (I don't sleep soundly if he's in with me, and he's a light sleeper between 4 and 6 anyway). But after 6am, totally! Love snuggling my bug in the mornings.

@LAGS: I've got a morning grunter too. I think that's how I got to waking up early: I think he's about to wake up so I sit up and get ready to nurse, but he just keeps grunting and wiggling but not actually waking up.

@Mrs. Bee: oh I totally agree!! I love staying up late and getting up late. 8:30am is my ideal wake up time, but not practical with my son.

I totally cosleep in the morning. Some mornings it's earlier than others, like as early as 3 or 4 am, but most mornings it's 5-6am, then we sleep til 8-9am.

If I get up before he's awake he may sleep another hour without me.

Most mornings yes. I'm my most tired during the early morning feed and usually fall asleep while nursing. Plus, she's extra grunty in the mornings when in her bassinet. She seems to sleep a little more soundly while beside me.

olive goes to bed around 6pm, so 6am is not an unreasonable wake up time. but if i can get her to sleep til 7:30, i'm going to take it! i think waking up early for the day is harder than waking up in the middle of the night.

LO has pretty much been sleeping with us all the time, but until we made the decision to co sleep, she would come in our bed around 4 a,m, by this time we were just both so exhausted that we didn't have the energy to try and get her back down in her crib.

I did and would totally do it with my daughter too! Sometimes you just need that extra hour of sleep to really make a big difference in the day. I felt like I needed it to be more alert...which in the long run is safer for the baby. Otherwise I would be super drowsy all day long.
