I see you already picked a place, but I used Pic Monkey to create a really simple invitation with a pic of LO and had one hour prints made, I think at Walgreens. We were only inviting family so I didn't need it to be fancy.

Yes. Illustrator/PS. InDesign is overkill for invites for me. I've used OvernightPrint with great success.

@birdofafeather: oh no, I truly agree that $15 isn't bad. I guess I'm just thinking about spending $50 on invites... and I think that's the crazy part.

Looks like everyone has given me some printing places to look into. Thanks!

P.S. found the invite I'm gonna buy on etsy... looks like catprint seems to be the place I'll print. 😄

I do my own using Photoshop and illustrator. (I'm a designed though so that helps ;)l.
I use overnight prints.com to print everything, super cheap! I've also used catprint.com before, love their paper options and that you can order any amt.
Overnight prints also allows you to design on their site if you want to give that a try?

I've bought on etsy at pretty affordable prices. I'm not at all creative. I usually printed at Office Depot. But just a warning, if you do an invite with a character like Mickey or paw patrol, they won't print it because of copyright issues. I've used them before but had trouble with my last invite.

I've done my own and also ordered off etsy. Depends on how intriquite the design is. I've done simple things and printed via my professional lab (I'm a photographer) but $15 for an invite already designed is pretty awesome to me!

I did my own wedding invites and have done invites for friends. I use InDesign and Photoshop and then print through Catprint.com. They have multiple paper options, you can do custom sizes and can order any quantity you need.

DH does work in Photoshop and illustrator. I think he uses Photoshop for this kind of stuff. He hasn't done our printed invites, announcements or Christmas card yet. Maybe I was afraid the colors would be off and the thought that something would be off and I would have to reprint made me go with an Esty invite. Well, I've decided that he will design our birth announcements. As for printing, I've gotten a good groupon deal using Staples for my sister's baby shower invites. I can't find a similar deal but I think I'm going to go with Staples again. They print on double sided card stock and they can have it printed within 24 hours and with in store pick up. It's good for me. (Oh, it might look a little post cardy.) I would try Costco but they print on photo paper and it's only one sided. If I had more time, I would check out shutterfly, tiny prints and other places.

Before finding the Staples deal for my sister's invites, I was thinking of going to Kinkos to self print.

My procrastination usually prefers speed over quality. ;) Plus, I like affordable. I think I paid $20 for 50 double sided invitations through that Groupon Staples deal.

@Ash: Where are you located? Smaller print shops will do shorter runs, we have a couple here - the UPS store, The Printing House, etc. that don't have a minimum..

@Ash: I've done it on my home printer, but since it broke and I haven't replaced it, I've used a local print shop and I've used staples.com. Both have been fine. If you haven't used staples.com before, I think you can sign up for their email and get a coupon.

I've done it before in PowerPoint and Word and save as a off, but it was kinda a PITA. It's worth the $10-$15 to me to order on etsy.

I do! I have Illustrator but I much prefer using InDesign, and using photoshop or illustrator if I need to modify certain aspects of something I'm using.

I helped my sister do one in PowerPoint as well, and while it wasn't as clean looking, it definitely did the job.

I'm looking at birthday invites on etsy and I really don't feel like spending an arm and a leg on a jpeg file that will still need printed. Do you design your own? What program do you use, if you do?
