Since DD was 3 when DS needed to move into the convertible we bought a carseat/booster for DD. By the time DS is ready for the highback booster DD should be ready for the low booster. We got our convertible car seat from my parents, so we didn't have to research that one. The gear guides are helpful for future purchases. I'm hoping that all of our current gear can work with a second LO.</p> <p>I registered and got a potty seat, so that will come in handy later. I actually bought gear I saw being used at my parents' house with my niece and nephews ahead of LO's birth. B's first convertible didn't last (we should have researched more when he was getting too long for his infant seat), so we had to buy another for him and a new infant seat for E. She needed a convertible before he needed to switch to a booster so I bought another convertible, then 8 months later a booster. </p> <p>That's 6 car seats!! Plus, we'll have to buy a new infant seat for #3 pretty soon too to make the car seats fit correctly in my car (3 across the middle row).
