Usually we each got a dozen hard boiled eggs to do and we would make designs with crayons and then dye them with a food colouring-boiling water-vinegar mix (you dye them when the dye cools off). Then whereever you drew with the crayon didn't dye and you could see your designs. It's fun! We did it before we even had kids. This year will be the first year my daughter will be able to get into it, I think. We usually dye our passover eggs because there's a hard boiled egg on the Seder plate. But this year we're only having passover at my inlaws and lo is too small for dying eggs anyway. Are you dying eggs? Doing anything fun and creative? Do you buy a kit?
