Although my hubs and I usually eat dinner together, it's often while watching TV or something. We don't have the luxury of a set schedule when it comes to my husband's work. He's on call 24 hours a day and can work for anywhere from 3 hours to a 12 hour shift followed by 27 hours sitting in a hotel and 12 hours back home. I've made big meals then he gets called before I can get it on the table. So, the hubs will eat quickly, come hold the baby while I go eat quickly. It's rather sad. I used to value our meal times together before we had the baby.
