For example, DD loves Little Critter but some of them are a little old for her -- I don't really want her learning about alien ray guns or running away quite yet. So I just replace it with something more acceptable to me that still kind of fits the pictures. It just seems so sloppy! So for example tonight I was reading On the Night You Were Born and I came to this line:</p> <p>It sailed through the farmland high on the breeze, over the ocean and through the trees</p> <p>So I had to edit it to "through all the trees". My husband doesn't like it because he says it will make it harder for B to learn to read if he's following along but...come on, just have the same syllables in each verse! </p>
