For the most part, yes. I had a very easy pregnancy (no morning sickness/pain/major complications). I did develop Bell's palsy at 36 weeks but it went away after delivery so it wasn't a big deal.

It's not my favorite thing. After wanting to be pregnant for so long I'm glad I get to experience it. I'd be happy to just skip to the end though. I'm way more anxious during pregnancy than I am once baby is born. I actually really liked labor and delivery though.

@RainbowMom: oh no no no! Please don't apologize. You did nothing wrong. It's a reality check sometimes on HB and that's okay!. Seriously. Agree with you about the pain olympics.

@Littlebit7: I'm sorry my post made you feel that way! I'm a firm believer in avoiding the pain Olympics. By that I mean, there's no point trying to figure out who has it worse. You have every right to your feelings about your experience. :)

I do. Even with notoriously rough 1st trimesters, I really love being pregnant. I'm about 1/2 way through my second (and last pregnancy), and I'm a little sad I won't be doing this again.

Generally, yes. Once the nausea passed. I felt pretty good the entire time. I've seen some close friends struggle with difficult pregnancies...its no joke. They were miserable. Any of my complaints were terribly minor compared to what they went through.

@RainbowMom: I'm so sorry to hear that you went through all of that. Reading that was like a gut punch; I almost untyped my minor complaints. Hugs to you.

Maybe there is something wrong with me, but despite hyperemesis gravidarum, gestational diabetes and PIH with my first, and severe morning sickness (didn't meet the HG criteria), PIH and tons of hip pain with my second I LOVE being pregnant. I'm so sad that after my current/next baby there won't be any more pregnancies in the cads for me.

I LOVED being pregnant. I felt so beautiful and proud of my body, I loved the baby kicks and wiggles, and I loved my bump. I had morning sickness until about 30 weeks, but it was still a very beautiful experience. I enjoyed labour & birth as well (awesome home birth!)

The first 16 weeks in my pregnancies I felt yucky and time moved so slowly so I never enjoyed the first few months. With DD I enjoyed the rest of my pregnancy. With DS, after having two losses, I could never really get rid of anxiety.

My pregnancies were both miserable. My first ended in a stillbirth, so every day with my second I had to tell myself both "today I am pregnant and baby is doing well" and "this is only temporary, I will not always be pregnant." Physical pain, nausea, gestational diabetes that would not be controlled, intense anxiety...of course my son is more than worth it but I'm also thrilled to be one and done.

The first time I only disliked the first trimester. Even those last uncomfortable weeks in 100+ degree weather were ok.

The second time I was miserable and it was mostly due to medical issues I am still somewhat contending with so I anticipate that if I have a 3rd it will be rough being pregnant. It was really painful and I'm honestly pretty nervous about getting pregnant again because of that, but I figure it's temporary..

I feel so guilty for saying this, because I'm so grateful for the boys I have, but I HATED being pregnant. I had gestational diabetes with my first (somehow managed to skirt by without having it with my second), but I hated every part of being pregnant. The only upside were the baby kicks. I couldn't sleep, I had numbness in my arms and hands constantly, I felt huge, I had really awful nausea with my second that lasted the entire pregnancy, and I honestly just wanted my body back. I'm selfish for saying that, I know, but it was the truth.

Honestly, when I'm pregnant I hate it. Most of the excitement is overshadowed by anxiety and worry, and I just don't like the way I feel physically.

That said, whenever I'm not pregnant I seem to recall it fondly and get excited about doing it again....

The first time - yes. I had an easy pregnancy, and as it was my first, I was naive about a lot of things that left me much more worry free than subsequent pregnancies.

with #2 - not so much. He was my rainbow and I worried the entire time. I didn't bond with him until after birth because of it. Also, I was sick and medicated for 32 weeks, so that didn't help.

with #3 (currently) - yes and no. I'm super excited to be having a girl, but my anxiety and ailments this time seem extensive! My body can't take much more!

I get happy sometimes just thinking about the fact that I'm not pregnant, and yet I'm still facing down the prospect of doing it all over again for kid #2. I cannot even grasp what all these people found enjoyable about it. Seriously like... what is it that there is to enjoy? Just the anticipation?

And my pregnancy wasn't even half as bad as many people's pregnancies!

I loved being pregnant. LOVED.

As a woman who struggled with anorexia and body dysphoria in the past, pregnancy was a truly empowering time for me. For the first time, I felt truly proud of my body and like it was doing what it is supposed to do! Also, as someone who doesn't fit into most of the female gender stereotypes, it really made me feel truly female, which was pretty cool.

We're only planning to have one and it makes me a little sad that I probably won't get to be pregnant again. I've actually considered being a surrogate!

I hate pregnancy with the fire of 1000 suns :silly: . Six months postpartum with LO2 and I still get happy when I think about the fact that my tubes are tied and we are done having kids and I never have to go through pregnancy again.

I had miserable pregnancies. GBS, pelvic pain, back pain, nausea well into 2nd tri, tons of false labor, traumatic first delivery, heart burn. The list goes on and on. I hate the way pregnancy makes me feel (like my body is breaking down) and the fact that I get so much guilt over being the sole caretaker of another life and having blood sugar issues. I never want that responsibility again, I like having my body be my own.

I really did. I think it helped that I had easy pregnancies - no morning sickness, not too many aches and pains, etc. Some sciatica and some heartburn near the end was the extent of it. I loved feeling the kicks and having that connection with my babies.
