I worry about her being too cold, but she runs hot and I babywear a lot. So basically I keep a ton of layers in the car just in case and let my DH talk me down from over dressing her too much :)

It's cold here, so I always worry about her being too cold. She always wears short sleeve onesie under her long sleeved shirt and always socks. And at night, fleece PJs over the short sleeve onesie and a cotton sleep sack on top of that. I've never noticed her being a sweaty baby.

I'm in socal and am not used to the cold haha. 35 degrees sounds unbearably cold to me!! Plus, I'm Asian and grew up with my mom always nagging about keeping my belly and feet warm.. :P

It's 73 here (high) and DD is wearing an undershirt/cami and a long sleeved shirt with long pants. And she took a hoodie sweater to school :P.

I dress M as much as I'm dressed. Maybe a layer more. Around the house he wears a onesie and pants. If we go out, I'll throw another shirt on him and if its really cold he gets a hoodie.

She rarely wears a coat, for many of the reasons you stated, but also because it's not safe to wear a coat in the car seat so it just seems pointless to put it on for the 30 seconds we are outside. But I definitely feel negligent sometimes in my walk into daycare.

I'm always cold! When we're at home, they have their slippers and a robe on (unless we're upstairs where it's 15 degrees warmer) and when we leave, they have hats, layers and coats!

I do not dress her warmly when we are going in the car - she overheats very easily! I usually warm the car up first and just throw a blanket on her. Even though she has a coat that is car seat safe, I find it more annoying and difficult to adjust the straps, so I prefer to just not use it in the car. I can't tell you the number of times someone (usually an old person) has yelled at me to put a coat on her. She's not going to freeze as I carry her from the car to the store!

I'm the same as you! If they wear socks in the house, they just slide all over our floors. Usually by the afternoon they aren't wearing their pants either. They run really hot and we keep our house warm. They sweat like crazy in the car seat too so I don't bother with any jackets, just a blanket and the car seat canopy. I do put socks/soft shoes and hats on if we're leaving the house though!

Well, my husband grew up in a tropical country and his obsession over LO possibly feeling cold has rubbed off on me a little--it doesn't help that our house is notoriously drafty and cold in winter.

At home and daycare, Lo is always, always, always in a long-sleeve onesie underneath her clothes, usually another long sleeve top and jeans or leggings or a skirt. And she always, always has socks on.

LO also has cold hands and feet (like me) and doesn't sweat much (like DH). So in winter, she wears a onesie under a sleep n play under a sleep sack to bed.

In summer she wears shoes outside because she walks now, so has to, but otherwise, she wears whatever--like rompers, shorts, etc.

I'm always worried LO is too hot! He is always in his "bear" fleece suit thing when we walk to daycare in the stroller + a few blankets. He gets super fussy when I am putting him in the stroller and bundling him up and I know it is because he's hot. When I take him out at daycare his hands are sweating!

I really don't sway one way or the other. I'm the mom who sends her kid to school on a day that gets to 65 in a winter coat and when it only gets up to 40 the next day, she only has her fleece with her. I'm always just wrong about the weather. Haha.

I always underdress him but more because I just don't notice what I'm doing! Such a lazy negligent mother I am. It's the worst at the peds office; every other child will be dressed in two jackets, have their hood up, be wearing boots, and here will be my baby in maybe a sweatshirt and some socks if he's lucky. And no, he doesn't wear socks in the house either. I like for him to feel his feet!

I'm closer to you, my LO LOVES her fleece jacket and refuses to wear her puffer coat on most occasions. This morning we ran into the grocery store for donuts and I got a couple side glares, I just wanted to be like "the heavy coat is in the car, you try battling a 2 year old for a 30 second car to door run!"

Plus, at DCP it feels like its 85! I walk in and am holy crap -open a window!!!

When I send him to daycare I worry about him being hot. The rooms are pretty warm and he's running around all day.

At night I worry he'll be too cold because he's laying still and we keep the temp down. However, in the morning I go in and I sweat changing his diaper because the room is small and keeps a lot of the heat in.

Babies seem to run hot! At least mine sure does. LOL.

Daycare was always telling me she should have warmer pants on. I was like, our living room is way colder than the daycare room, and she's fine there! She doesn't wear a coat in the car, so unless it's really cold and we have a long walk to the entrance, I'll just wrap my scarf around her and carry on. She doesn't like her slippers and usually whips her socks off right away. We do dress her up if we're going to be outside (ie walking to day care etc). I worry about the side eye too, but she's really fine!

Same here! I'm more worried about burning him up with too many layers. When we're at home he sometimes just wears a long sleeved onesie. Most of the time he has pants on but definitely no socks at home. When we go out I usually just pack along his jacket and hat...why put it all on him to take it off in the car? If I leave it on he will burn up with the heat on in the car.

Haha, sometimes I worry that daycare thinks I'm negligent! It's been 30's here and L will be in capri leggings and a short sleeve shirt. But, like you, we run from car to house in like 1 minute, so she's fine... Their house is super warm in the winter, so she doesn't need crazy warm clothes, and she can't wear a poofy coat in the car seat, so I'm not going to put a coat on her for 30 seconds??

ETA: Although we do keep our house pretty cool, so I do keep her in socks at our house, and she'll bring me a coat if she's cold.
