I let DH know if I've made girls night out plans and he does the same. DH actually planned a 4 day snowboard trip which ended up getting cancelled cause it conflicted with a bachelor party trip for a friend. If it didn't conflict he would have been gone for 4 days for snowboarding plus another 4 days in Montreal for the bachelor party trip. I tell him he's lucky I'm nice! I don't think it's a big deal at all because your both the parents; why should you feel weird about asking the other to watch THEIR child? We both like to get out by ourselves; although I don't mind taking LO with me to go shopping because she is generally (haha) very well behaved in public. It was a major production both times, and my entire family "rallied" behind DH and made dinners and helped babysit. He on the other hand will just "inform" me when he has something to do, and it annoys the heck out of me when he doesn't ask. I don't mind if he has things he wants to do (I hardly ever say no), but I was just like him ask since that shows me that he was at least thinking about the impacts (only because I know that he often does not). But, with our LO being so young, I do a MUCH bigger share than he does.<br /> Mostly, we do things together that are relaxing at home after DS goes to sleep. Order in, rent movies, work-out, all that. </p>
