My parents live 4.5 hours away so our dog and cat come with us. We always get laughs at drive thrus when a cat pops up in the back window.</p> <p>Our dog comes with us when we drive to my in-laws. They live about 16 hours away from us. We break the drive into 2 days and stay at a dog friendly hotel. One dog sleeps the whole time, the other is kind of nervous, but just lays her head between us on the center console and will sometimes fall asleep.
