He sleeps on his tummy now but when he slept on his back he'd constantly pull his Aden anais security blanket over his face no matter how often I pulled it down!

Lo still doesn't have anything in the crib with her at 21 months so I don't have to worry about it.

LO had a blanket wrapped around her face one night when we checked on her before bed (we don't use a video monitor). My heart sank but she was breathing just fine. We do have an angel monitor so it would have picked up any unusual breathing.

Once I had her in the crib getting ready for bed, and I had laid her sleepsack out and remembered that I didn't put her Snuza beeper on her, so I turned around for a minute or so to go get it, and maybe to get the Boppy ready in the rocker or something, and when I turned around she had grabbed the sleepsack and in an attempt to get it to her mouth, she was totally under it! Her face was covered! It was an A&A cozy sleepsack, so not the thinnest but still pretty thin to where I think it would have been ok had I not been right there, but it still scared me that it happened so quickly!

I must be one of the least paranoid parents on the board. I've found DS under a blanket a few times in the past few months (since month 11, he's nearly 15 months) or with his face pressed onto his tiger but its never worried me. I watch him breathj g for a few seconds then leave him be.

Sometimes DD likes to sleep with her pillow on her face but I figure she is ok since she is almost 3.

The other night I checked on Charlie, and found a shirt covering his entire face!! (He uses my tee shirts as a lovey... it's a long story.) Anyway I took the shirt off of his face (carefully so he didn't wake up) and then breathed out a huge sigh of relief.

That's never happened before! I mean, sometimes a part of something will be covering part of his face, but he hasn't been entirely under a piece of cloth like that in years (as far as I can remember!). I think he would've been fine, but thank goodness I checked on him!
