When I got to the part where Owen the hippo's whole family died during the tsunami of 2004 and he was left stranded and alone, I suddenly got teary. I had to stop a minute and say "I just feel so sad for the hippo!" I told DH and he think's I've lost it. :)</p> <p>What children's book makes you choke up?</p> <p>P.S. The hippo book has a happy ending if you were worried! </p>
