We never did stroller naps, but DD loved (well, still does, really!) to nap in the baby carrier. The good thing was that I could wear her around the house, though, so I could still get things done while she napped.

My mom said that to get my sis and me to sleep, a lot of times she had to put us in the car and drive around the block. Interestingly enough, if my sister isn't driving, she still tends to doze off in the car.

I can't even imagine how much $ we spent on gas for car naps when RJ was still on 3 naps. Getting him to take that 3rd nap was torture... only a car nap would do. When we finally dropped that 3rd nap, he was fine napping in his crib. Now that he's down to 1 nap, we almost always get home for him to sleep in his crib because he'll sleep for 2-3 hours in his crib, but in the car or stroller he'll always wake up around the 1 hour mark.

with my first, we did alot of stroller naps. i usually ended up at baby gear/clothing stores and spent alot of money! with number two, it's been alot of walks with her in my Beco carrier... she prefers it over the stroller. I've learned my lesson though and am definitely more of a window-shopper while she naps now

I've never had to do stroller naps.. Micah doesn't have a crib (she sleeps on a mattress on the floor) so I usually lie next to her and nurse her to sleep. So far so good. Lately I've been leaving her to roll around and play herself to sleep.

My LO used to nap easily in the stroller, but as he gets older, he is more aware of his surroundings. Now he is too busy looking around. :( The only way for him to nap while we're out is to put him in the Ergo.

Luckily we have a car so we do car naps every weekend. Unfortunately, day care can't do car naps with her. They are just screwed!! There is no other way to get her to nap anymore. Argh!

Oh man, we used to do these all the time! It was sooo boring to just walk around for hours. I was good at doing this for about 45 minutes, and then I would get bored.

We still do stroller naps if we go to a far-away museum or something and we don't have time to get home by Charlie's nap time. But thankfully we don't have to do them too often, since Charlie usually goes down for naps pretty well these days.
