But since having LO the most I've had is half a glass of watered down wine and even that makes me tipsy. I used to work with all guys so we had happy hours once in awhile. I'd drink the first hour then stop to "sober" up to drive home. I never drank so much where I was drunk and drove home. That's just crazy talk. I would and have done this before. </p> <p>However, I am against having too much to drink and then driving home. </p> <p>I went to a halloween party this year where a couple got totally wasted and were going to drive home, the host and her husband argued and argued with this couple to just stay at their house or even let them call a cab but they left anyway. When everyone from the party woke up the next morning, one girl went to her car and it was totally smashed up because the couple who left drunk had hit it. It was totally avoidable and unnecessary! Why do people do it? He started drinking as soon as we got to the party! He said it wasn't a big deal if he had one or two beers...</p> <p>Looking back, he was probably right - it's not the end of the world if someone is careful to time a drink or two against the passage of time. For me personally though, I prefer to abstain completely if I'm driving a car later. I've learned over time though that most people don't seem to agree with me! </p> <p>Do you ever drink a drink or two and then once enough time has gone by, drive home? </p>
