I feel inspired (for reasonable projects) and then confusion (when it's something too over-the-top). I have a DIY rule I picked up while doing wedding projects: if my hubs wouldn't notice it, it's not worth doing.

I use him as my example since he's a normal person with normal tastes-- if it's something soo miniscule (like personalized confetti vs. personalized bunting), I'm not going to waste my time/effort making it.

Yes, I feel so lazy and incompetent after reading these blogs! Yikes!

I feel inspired and motivated to attempt my own DIYs. If it werent for DIY blogs I would have never felt brave enough to try my own DIYs for the wedding and I was so happy with how everything turned out

I always feel inspired!

My plan is to do DIY with cheating for LO's birthday. Like I want to make sugar cookies and stamp out flowers into them. So I'll buy store bought sugar cookie dough and do my own twist to the cookies. In the past I would have done all DIY, but really I'd rather spend time with LO then spend hours in the kitchen.

I'm not crafty so I'm jealous of their talent, but it doesn't make me sad per se. I just don't have it in me. I have awesome friends (and a hubby) that are though and totally help me out!

I always get a mental picture of what it would look like if I attempted it ie A dog's breakfast!

Just get store bought and hide the wrappers! Lol

I just finished looking through a mom of 2's blog.

For her daughter's birthday, this mom did EVERYTHING DIY. A BEAUTIFUL cake from scratch, picture perfect cake pops from scratch, decorations, cookies, favors, crafts..
Everything looked AMAZING and STORE BOUGHT.

It kinda made me feel bad for not being as awesome.
Then I thought, "No, I can do everything if I WANTED, but I just don't want to."

Which made me feel bad for being lazy. HAHA :P
