I'm glad to hear that some of you are having similar feelings. It took me about 3 months to truly bond with my daughter and now at 1 year, i'm still surprised to have that 'disconnected' feeling. Especially when my mom is around. She love love loves my mom and only wants her grandma if she's here. People keep asking me if I'm excited and.... I'm just not, yet. I felt I "knew" her from her squirms and kicks but at the same time she still felt like a little stranger. I think it's completely normal because it's just SO overwhelming to think you're now responsible for this person. I was just so busy the first few weeks feeding, changing, cleaning that it took me a while to just really absorb the fact that I was a mom now. However, there are times when i look at pictures of us and feel totally disconnected. I can't believe i have a daughter and this little baby is mine. I still get the occasional feeling that i'm just babysitting and her parents are going to come and pick her up soon. Does anyone else feel like this? </p>
