Earlier this week I gave LO fish and oatmeal for breakfast. Then I was too nauseated from the fish smell (& first trimester) to eat my eggs. So I had oatmeal with chocolate chips. I never plan to do that again so I told her she was allergic (which is true for the eggs I eat every other morning). I may be going to hell. Today was ththe first time I've really had to lie. She's been getting way to addicted to her paci so I'm trying to get her to use it less. I put it in a safe yet discreet spot. She asked for it several times before her nap but I kept telling her it was all gone lol she didn't cry or anything but sometimes would just say "paci? She doesn't even get donuts!) so I gave her a piece of toast and told her it was a "flat donut". haha, worked like a charm! Last night we were having peas and she pointed and asked if it was corn. I said it's green corn, she ate the entire bowl. She was so unsure about eating them and I was desperate for her to eat something decent so I fibbed. Oops. I'll also tell her a certain toy is napping if she wants to play with it but I need a break from whatever toy it is I likely can't stand at that moment. I'm sure it's not great to fib, and may backfire on me someday but for now it's what I've gotta do to survive these long parenting days :wink: Do you ever fib to your LO? What was the last fib you told them? If you don't tell small lies, how in the world do you survive? Tell me your secrets!
