@spaniellove: yes! my gmail is the same, first name-last initial at gmail (dot) com. I get all kinds of stuff. People's DSW coupons, college information, RedBox subscriptions, etc. I've received wedding information and other personal things, that I will reply to and tell the sender that they have the wrong person.

I recently got info about divorce issues regarding someone with the same maiden name as me. I got four different emails with very personal info even though I told them I was incorrectly getting them! So weird. Eventually they got me off the emails.

ALL. THE. TIME.

I hate companies that add your email to their database without verifying that you want to be on it. And then there is no easy way to unsubscribe.

I've gotten:
-Someone else's tax documents that their Dad scanned in (so it had their Social Security #)
-Interview scheduling confirmation of a time & date
-Lexus of Santa Monica emailing me their specials with no way to get off their list
-Plenty of Fish dating mail
-Match.com dating mail
-Someone's FitBit account

It drives me bonkers but my Gmail is my first name and last name so I'm not changing it. I usually just try to unsubscribe or let the person know that they're emailing the wrong person.

I never have. The c-section invite sounds crazy, though, lol.

@TurtleDoves: I've totally stolen my neighbor's target coupons when they've been in my mailbox ;-)

My old grad school email calendar somehow synched with one of the career counselor's so I knew when she had pto, meetings, etc. Awkward. I have no idea how that even happened!

Maybe this happens to me because I have a pretty straightforward gmail address. Somehow emails that weren't addressed to me get sent to me, or Google Calendar invites. For a while I was getting a lot of this girl's social life emailed to me and it was kind of fun reading what her dates had to say the morning after! One time I got a calendar invite from someone's husband to a c-section.

Usually I try to let the person know what happened, but sometimes I just give up. Like if the woman doesn't know her own c-section date, it's not my fault, right?
