There's nothing quite like a room full of glitter, or nailpolish on the sink. :D At the same time, Ellie, at 7 is very responsible for taking care of her messes, so that really helps. She tracked mud in yesterday and was fantastic for cleaning it up when she noticed. I gave up the war on bathrooms a long time ago... it's awful. I blame my mom, who was a total neat freak, because she always forced us to clean constantly and now I loathe it (total cop out. secretly, I'd love to be a clean as my mom). Cleaning has never come naturally to me and even now being a SAHM for over a year, I'm waiting for that to happen. :) I tidy up throughout the day, run errands, cook and do laundry, but I absolutely despise cleaning. The only daily cleaning I do is the kitchen and picking up toys. I hate mopping, vacumming, dusting and only do it once or twice a week which I know should be more often. Getting a Roomba has also helped that I can just turn it on during the week to clean up floors a little bit, but I still have to clean clean every week. Sometimes I just give up and let it be messy for a couple of days, but then it drives me crazy and I have to do an intense cleaning session that ends up taking even more time anyway. I think it gets better as the kids get older? Do you clean every single day (besides the stuff you have to do like dishes/laundry)? Or do you sometimes give up the daily war?
