I haven't had any negative side effects-- but I had forgotten to take it this morning so your post reminded me too!<br /> The one downside is they are definitely more expensive per 'serving' than the big pills. They are huge!! After gagging and choking on them a few times I started psyching myself out and couldn't even swallow smaller ones like my Allegra that I've been taking forever.</p> <p>I switched to a smaller sized prenatal and after awhile the psychological aspect went away and I can now swallow pills again. :-P I also realized that because I was psyching myself out my tongue would be up making it impossible to swallow the pills. I was taking the kind where you had to take 2 separate humongous pills! blech! Now in my 2nd tri, I am taking Nature Made prenatal multi + dha and it's one big softgel. I think the softgel makes a big difference!<br /> * Re: The Pill Splitter<br /> It won't make any difference to the effectiveness if you take both pieces (so it's still one serving) and it's a hard-pressed pill. I haven't had any issues with them other than the fact that they are huge! Some nights I end up not taking it because I just can't swallow it. I am thinking about investing in a pill cutter and cutting them in half. Has anyone ever done this? I assume this doesn't compromise the effectiveness of the pill?? </p>
