@alohaorchid: The worst feeling, an overwhelming sadness I had never knew existed was when I lost our first pregnancy at 11 weeks. I just wanted to be alone, I cried myself to sleep, and prayed for better days. I think being aware of your sadness, trying to make peace with it, and figure out what the next step to healing is, instead of denying it is a good step in the right direction. Hoping you can take the next step soon no matter how big or small.

Being bummed out once in a while is super normal. *big hugs for you today though*

I definitely had sad days TTCing and also being passed up for work stuff and general family drama. Like others suggested having a good cry helps! :)

I hope tomorrow is better for you! Why don't you do something fun tonight anyways? Go to a movie... get your nails done or whatever is fun for you. :)

@MaryM: I really like that saying! It's definitely a light bulb phrase.

@alohaorchid: It can be very cathartic! It seems to release a lot of stress and tension for me.

@MaryM: This is a friend who I haven't seen in months, and she is continuously flaky so I don't know why I got my hopes up, but I did! And now I'm disappointed. I'm sorry you're having a rough time with TTC, I hope you get a BFP soon!

@PurplePumps: Not having to worry about the financial side is huge, I agree! We have some coverage through my work but we have decided not to persue it. I wish I could give my coverage to someone else who would use it!

@LuLu Mom: This sounds like a really good plan! I'm making comfort food tonight and DH is picking up a bottle of wine on his way home. I have a few hours to kill between when I get home and when he gets home so I'm thinking I need to watch something to make me cry... SATC movie #1 is always a good one for me!

@FliegepilzHut: Thank you! I agree that the news can be hard. I follow a local lost pet page on FB and some days the posts are so heartbreaking it just makes me sad all day.

@MaryM: I love that saying! It's so true thought. Some days you just need to let it happen and ride it out. I hope you're doing ok, I know how difficult mc's are.

@IRunForFun: I think a good cry could work for me too. I've been under a lot of stress lately with two major things and both of them have turned out great, but I think I'm still kind of holding on to some of the stress from them. Maybe an ugly cry will be able to get that out!

@LuLu Mom: I was going to say the same thing. Whenever I feel sad I watch or read something that makes me cry - like big old ugly cry. I usually feel better after.

I was talking to a friend last week about how I think it took DH a while to understand how emotional TTC and the MC were for me, and how my "funks" had nothing to do with him, but were just about me needing my own time to cope and feel my feelings.

She said "You have to respect the funk!" Which I think was the perfect explanation for me! I know I can't let the funk take over my whole life, but at the same time, if I'm in a funk, I have to really feel it and deal with it before I can move on.

I suggested she have tshirts and coffee cups made :)

@alohaorchid: I feel like it's normal to feel very sad at times. Sometimes all it takes for me is listening to or watching the news! It sounds like you're in the midst of a number of crises right now-- a "perfect storm" of sorts. Take care of you and I hope this passes and gives way to better things very soon!

Sure, I get into these funks every so often, I usually order take out (pizza or Thai) and curl up on the couch and eat it in front of the TV. If I feel like I need a good cry but it's not coming on its own, I usually pull up the Denny dying episode of Grey's anatomy, it gets me going. I always feel better after a decent cry (so weird but it's true.)

Only about IF and not having a baby yet. I just try not to think about it and hope that medical intervention will prevail. As much as IF sucks, I am thankful to be a position where I have some insurance coverage for my treatment (almost 2 rounds of IVF) and not have to worry about the financial aspects of IF.

Yes! Especially if plans are cancelled last minute (I do NOT deal well with that at all).

I feel like all kinds of places in the TTC journey can lead to that though. DH and I have been trying for 9 months and I'm so sad that nothing has happened so far that I'm *this close* to just giving up some days.

Like the title says, do you ever have days when you just feel sad?

I had plans tonight that I was really looking forward to, and I woke up this morning to a text to find out that they have been cancelled, again. We have decided to stop our TTC journey, which I'm mostly ok with, but I also feel a little lost now that we're at the end of the line. My mom beat me down emotionally and mentally pretty good on Monday night, which has kind of put me in a not great mood ever since. And on top of that, I came to the sad realization today that I think I need a new job.

Now I just feel sad and I can't wait for this day to be over so that I can go home and cuddle my furbabies!
