@regberadaisy: i can't think of any other explanation. my mom, however, thinks its because i'm breastfeeding. which maybe also makes sense...it burns 500 calories a day, which is like running 5 miles every single day for me. i know if i were running 5 miles every single day, i'd be really tired probably....or maybe i would be more energized. hmm. nevermind.

@SleepyMonkey: haha I love your explanation. That must be it for me too. Andddd we just came out of a few months of crap sleep.

@Dandelion: it's actually been fairly sunny around here for the most part!

@skibobrown: it's weird bc thru her sleep regressions I was fine in one cup. Of decaf but lately I need that second cup to get me through the day!

I have the same problem. LO has been sttn since 6.5 months give or take a few days here and there. I get a good 7-8 hrs of sleep a night and I am just SO tired during the day and sleepy. I've always wondered if I'm still making up for the sleep deficit from the newborn days. Sucks.

Has it been sunny in your area? The sun gives helps your body get Vitamin D, which helps your metabolism. When it's cloudy or rainy, you're not getting as much, so you get more sluggish from your metabolism slowing down.

Around here it's been rainy, so everyone feels groggy.

@IRunForFun: I'm still on prenatals since I'm BFing. And I'm just about the definition of lazy. Does keeping after a toddler count? Hehe. My DH has been on me to get more active. Maybe I need to start even just taking a walk during lunch.

But yeah, I think it's time for a physical. It's often enough I'm concerned, and I haven't had a physical post partum either.

@pui: I def need to drink more water!

My mom takes b6 to help with her energy. Being vitamin depleted can definitely make you sluggish.

I totally hear you on the no energy thing though! :)

@regberadaisy: Do you take a multivitamin or a supplement with iron? Or get enough iron in your diet? I know low iron can make you tired...

Some days I'm just plain ol' tired, but it's not a regular enough occurrence that it worries me. Are you tired often or just once in a while?

Maybe it's time for a physical with some routine blood work?

ETA: Do you exercise or stay active? Sometimes lack of activity can actually make you more sluggish...

@regberadaisy: You don't have to be overweight to have hypothyroidism. I would get blood checked if you can. They can also look for deficiencies!

You could also try drinking more water? Dehydration can also make you tried.

I always feel like this. I think I need to make some changes to my diet or something, but I don't know where to start. Maybe I should try one of those cleanses where you cut out a whole bunch of different problematic foods.

I'm usually fine on a workday when I can just spend all day sitting at my desk, but on weekends when we're on the go, I'm just exhausted by lunch time. Like you, I'm getting a good amount of sleep, so this is really starting to get to me.

LO is back to STTN for the most part so I get an average of 7-8 hours each night. I don't know why but sometimes I'm just so low on energy!

I remember some bees posting that they noticed when they were low on certain vitamins it equaled a lack of energy. Anyone know what I'm talking about?

Any other ideas?!
