Sometimes I call/ text right beforehand, but we're just like that. With friends, I usually text and make sure it's ok first, and usually like a heads up when people drop by my house, but I have a couple good friends who I wouldn't mind if they stopped by on a whim (HLK and Rainbow Sprinkles!). Both sets of grandparents, my great-aunt, and my uncle all lived within a mile of me, so we had lots of drop-ins as well as being the drop-byers (making up words). And my sister lives next door to her BIL so lots of unannounced guests there. I agree with you - I do miss the atmosphere of company being in and out. :)</p> <p>As an adult, there's no one I do a complete drop by on.
