I don't worry about the crockpot, but I never realized dishwashers were so prone to catching fire! I had an issue years ago when the washer kept running for some reason and at the same time, the pipe busted so we came home to a flooded laundry/kitchen area. We've recently had our dryer vent cleaned (from the dryer to the outside of the house), it was packed with lint, a major fire hazard!
